Santo Domingo (click for a tour) is the capital of the Dominican Republic and a very historical city.  Here are just a few of our many photographs of the first town of the New World.

	Though this is not the most popular stop on a usual tour bus, it is our favorite place in the city.  This is the Free Methodist church which we stayed in during our debriefing time at the end of our trip.
	This is the sanctuary of the church.  The church we were constructing in San Juan will have the very same floor plan, though this one is a little bigger.
	This stump is supposedly the actual tree that Columbus tied his ship to when he came in to the harbor for the first time.
	If you got a souvenir from one of us this is probably where we bought it.  If you like bartering, this is the place to shop!
